Someone asked me a great question the other day: "How has your technical career and art career influenced each other." The answer is that they are intrinsically intertwined. We like to carve ourselves into neat little pieces of a whole to share with one another, but the reality is we are beautiful and complex and not one piece of us exists in a vacuum. STEM and ART are not mutually exclusive, they strengthen each other and together they thrive. Together we thrive, together our children thrive. They discover the unknown and make it possible. That is just one of the reasons Assemble, a community space for arts + technology is so important and so close to my heart.
